Applications to be part of the Preston & District Scouts Contingent to the 2027 World Scout Jamboree are now open! You must be born between 30th July 2009 and 30th July 2013 to be eligible to apply as well as being able to commit to the mandatory training dates below. Applications close on 25th February

How much will it cost?
The UK contingent set the main fee for the UK participants which includes the Jamboree fee, travel, accommodation, insurance, contingent kit, food and almost all the activities. Training weekends which will be organised by the West Lancashire Scouts Jamboree Unit Leadership Team are also included in the fee which will be approximately £3,350. The fees will be split as below

It is expected that you will fundraise for the participant element of the fees, these fundraising activities to help pay for the Jamboree will be at a Unit, District and individual level. It is hoped your own Group and Unit will also help with this. As Jamboree Coordinator I also am here to support.
Is the Jamboree for you?
We are looking for those with Enthusiasm, Team Players, Resilience the event and others can be unpredictable. A Commitment to the unit, training & fundraising, an ability to communicate with others effectively and have demonstrative scouting values.
When is it?
30th July – 8th August 2027 this is the core dates of the camp, so the trip will be longer with dates at the front and back end of the camp
Who can apply?
You must be to be aged 14-17 on the first day of the Jamboree. Therefore, born between 30th July 2009 and 30th July 2013
